Rookie Rods make an all too rare visit to Ipswich, it’s interesting times in the Rookie Rod class right now as most of the old guard who dominated the class have moved on, no one driver is winning everything so this means plenty of action as every driver out there knows he/she CAN win. Bangers are here to kick off the Peter Brown backed East Anglian Championship, Ipswich regulars Adrian Hart, Andy Hill and Paul Felgate will be looking to open their accounts, but watch out as Steve ‘Cecil’ Anscombe is up from the south and we all know what that means! Making the trip down the A12 from Yarmouth are Barry Beevor and Brad Hudson and they are East Anglian through and through and will make a claim on this title for sure. Talking of NEC cars, this is the place to see them as Ryan Eaton will be out in his new HCD as will the local Meadows brothers who are now finding their feet in their new cars. Plus Steven Jackson is back at the top of the points and, never ever take an eye off Shaun Brooker. Chopper is back, Jason Cooper in his new RCE car and Chris Roots in his amazing Spedeworth Fabrications built NEC show car. Let’s start in East Anglia at Foxhall Stadium on Saturday at 6.45pm, the Superstox reach round 5 of the Safari Land Rover Series. Its a busy weekend on the Spedeworth & Incarace circuits with 7 meetings on over the three days, so whether you’re contact or non-contact, north, south, east or west here’s your guide to what’s on.
